sales@oshoot.aiDid Oshoot delete my photos?
The browser cleaner does not delete or move files. Marking a photo adds it to a review list; downloading the CSV saves that list. You decide which originals to remove in your own file manager after checking their locations. Every match group must keep at least one photo.
The Android preview has a separate, system-confirmed trash flow on supported Android versions.
Why didn’t all my photos scan?
Each browser scan accepts up to 300 photos, 25 MB per file, and 750 MB in total. Optional AI matching is limited to 120 photos per scan. Try smaller batches if your device slows down.
JPEG, PNG, and WebP are supported for previews and visual matching. Other accepted image formats, including HEIC, receive an exact-copy check; previews depend on browser support. Empty files, oversized files, and non-image files are skipped with a notice.
Why did two similar photos stay separate?
Exact matching finds byte-identical files. Resizing, editing, or changing metadata can make files different even when they look the same. Similar-photo suggestions are deliberately conservative and can miss a match. Review the original folder too, and treat a suggested keeper as guidance.
The AI model won’t load
Optional AI mode needs an initial model download and a compatible browser. If it cannot run, Oshoot switches to fast visual matching and shows a notice. You can choose fast visual matching yourself; it runs locally without an AI model download.
What should I include in a support email?
Tell us your device, operating system, browser and version, approximately how many files you selected, and what happened. Include the text of any error and the steps that reproduce it. For an Android preview issue, include the app version and Android version.
Please keep personal photos and file paths out of your message. If a screenshot helps, hide photos and names first. Read our privacy policy for how email and diagnostics are handled.
